Description

After checking in at Termini Station, relax and enjoy the views on the scenic ride to Naples. As you get off the train in Naples, meet your local tour guide and head to an air-conditioned coach bound for our first destination: Pompeii. Explore the archaeological park on a 2-hour walking tour. Experience a world frozen in time as you stroll along the ancient cobblestone streets where well-preserved bakeries, shops, stalls, residences, public baths, and brothels remain. Then, sink your teeth into an authentic Neapolitan pizza at a pizzeria converted from an antique rail station. After lunch, a short transfer will take you to your second destination. Unlike Pompeii, Herculaneum was buried under a mixture of ash and mud, which solidified over time to create the perfect protection for the fascinating world left frozen in time beneath it. Walk in the footsteps of the Romans who once called this lost city home with a guide. At the end of your tour, return to Naples Station for the high-speed train ride back to Rome.
