Description

Depart Rome for a spiritual journey to discover three sacred places in Umbria. We will pick you up from your hotel or apartment in Rome. The first stop on the tour will be Assisi, birthplace of St. Francis. You will visit the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels where you can retreat in prayer to the Portiuncula, one of the most important places for Franciscanism. Afterwards you will meet your local guide with whom you will explore the medieval streets of Assisi, the Basilica of St. Francis and its historic frescoes, the Basilica of St. Clare and the church that houses the body of the recently beatified Charles Acutis. After visiting Assisi you will have free time for lunch. The tour will continue to Roccaporena, the birthplace of St. Rita, and you will discover places related to her life, including the house where she was born. You will finally reach Cascia where you will visit the Basilica that houses her body and the Monastery dedicated to the 'Saint of the Impossible.'
